The Book of Flesh and Feather
Munich: Theion Publishing, 2020. First Edition. Deluxe Auric Edition, limited to 55 copies, of which this is number 27. Folio, 271 pages, publisher's original gilt-lettered and decorated black leather over blue marbled boards. Publisher's original blue slipcase. The Book of Flesh and Feather is a substantial modern work of ritual magic and theurgy devoted to Djehuty, the ancient Egyptian deity more commonly known as Thoth. Drawing upon Egyptian, Coptic, and Greek religious and magical traditions, Zemaemidjehuty presents a practical system of devotional and initiatory practice incorporating invocations, hymns, spells, exorcisms, amulets, ritual instructions, and ceremonial workings. Conceived as a functioning magical and liturgical text rather than merely a historical study of occultism, the work develops an extensive ritual framework culminating in an initiatory ceremony centered upon communion with Djehuty. An unusually elaborate production from Theion Publishing and a notable contemporary work of Egyptian-inspired esotericism. Some slight rubbing and wear, else in very good + condition. Item #628
