Message from Gabriel is an uncommon collection of mystical and devotional poetry by the American esoteric writer Roberta Coldren Dyer. Drawing upon Christian mysticism, occult philosophy, metaphysics, symbolism, and themes of divine revelation, the poems explore spiritual illumination, sacred love, inner transformation, and humanity’s relationship with the divine.
Roberta Coldren Dyer was an American esoteric writer, occult scholar, and interpreter of Qabalistic and mystical traditions, best known for Message from Gabriel and her 1949 work The Sepher Yetzirah (The Book of Formation). Published by the Omen Press, her study of the Sepher Yetzirah presented the ancient Hebrew cosmological text through a Christian-Qabalistic framework, connecting its teachings with the “secret science of Christhood,” Hebrew mysticism, Egyptian religious traditions, sacred symbolism, spiritual creation, and the thirty-two paths of wisdom. Dyer’s writings occupy an unusual place within twentieth-century American occultism, Christian mysticism, Hermetic philosophy, Kabbalah, metaphysics, and comparative religion.
